I saw three new and interesting products at the show. One is Worksmart which I've recently seen a demo of. It works with both 360 and Sagitta and will connect with both online and in-house versions on the respective products. However, for now, Worksmart is only an in-house product. Basically Worksmart sits on top of these management systems to do image scanning through the included Imagewrite product. It has built in workflows and document management characteristics. In English what this means. if say you get a cancellation notice, Worksmart will be able to know that simply by scanning the cancellation notice in. Then it will route it down the proper way. In some cases it's able to pull the policy number and notify the producer and operations people as well. It has all sorts of reporting built in to tell you what people and departments in your organization are running efficiently and who aren't. Collaboration Portal is designed to allow agencies, carriers, MGAs and clients the ability to collaborate on underwriting, submissions and content sharing. It's got a pretty cool drag and drop file interface and sort of looks like Facebook in the way it shows the progress of projects.

Vertafore Identity Manager is a cool product for keep track of all your usernames and passwords. It will be included with every Vertafore product and makes it easier to add and delete users from each application along with extending rights. Someone in the audience asked if there would be additions for Active Directory users and Exchange users. Although not technically that difficult Vertafore has a lot of work to do before that happens.
